2022 Scholarship Recipients

On May 12, 2022, members from the BAHS Alumni Association Board (Charlie Gann and Tammy Strickland) presented four Broken Arrow High School seniors with scholarships. These students met the criteria to be selected for the Kennard Family and Tiger scholarships. Each recipient was awarded $1,500. Congratulations to these BAHS graduates!

Andrew Brown

Andrew is the son of Julie Antoshkiw-Brown and Ryan Brown.


Andrew has been active in the community volunteering his time at the Broken Arrow Historical Society, the Broken Arrow Museum and Broken Arrow Neighbors. He is also a member of the Broken Arrow Youth City Council. Andrew is interested in the future of Broken and is learning how the city government operates and the plans for the future.


Andrew plans to attend Oklahoma State University and using their dual major program major in Aerospace and Mechanical engineering. Andrew has used the advanced classes offered by Broken Arrow High School to earn college hours. Andrew plans on graduating in the class of 2026.



Kaylyn Booker

Kaylyn is the daughter of Staci Miller and Jeffery Booker who is deceased.


Kaylyn has been active in the Pride of Broken Arrow, National Honor Society, AP Club and the Early College Student Council. She volunteered at a dog rescue center called Puppy Haven, assisted in coaching her sister's soccer team and works as a baby sitter.


Kaylyn plans to attend Wichita State University and major in Biomedical Engineering. Kaylyn wants to help people whose organs are failing. Through the Advanced Placement program Kaylyn has nearly completed her Associates degree.



Amanda Werner

Amanda is the daughter of William “Bill” and Marcia Werner.


Amanda participated in the Pride of Broken Arrow Marching Band, Biology, Spanish, the Symphonic Band, Literacy Lunch and National Honor Society. She was selected all state alternate clarinet player. Some Community activities; a mission trip to Alabama helping painting elderly persons homes and general repairs, Broken Arrow Neighbor's and is very active in her local church.


Amanda plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State at Weatherford, and major in pharmacy.



Madelyn Benton

Madelyn is the daughter of Jason and Rasheeda Flesch.


Madelyn has been active in the Pride of Broken Arrow, Advanced Placement (AP) Club, National Honor Society, Tiger Challenge Leadership and the school newspaper.


Madelyn has noticed people with depression struggles while growing up and decided she would like to help people with these problems. At first she thought she would be a therapist but has changed as she matured. She now wants to attend the University of Oklahoma majoring in Psychology eventually seeking a Doctorate Degree and become a Psychiatrist and wants to open her own private practice.
